Originally from Sheffield, John Brooks is a Fine Art graduate whose work reflects a lifelong fascination with painting, observation and the world around him.
Now based in the West Midlands, John combines technical skill with an artist’s eye for atmosphere, colour and detail. His paintings invite you to stop, look again and discover something beyond the immediately familiar.
Recent work has seen John explore portraiture, while continuing to search for new ways to develop his practice. At the heart of his work is genuine curiosity — a willingness to experiment, question and explore, always seeking new ways to express what he sees and feels through paint.
